Crash Erupts in Flames, Shuts Down I-75

A crash involving two semis erupted in flames early Friday morning. The accident occurred on I-75, two miles south of Newberry Road. The northbound and southbound lanes of the interstate were shut down for several hours, and were finally reopened at 11:48 a.m.

Truck Crashes into Metal Band Adrenaline Mob's RV on I-75

The crash occurred on the southbound side of I-75 near the Micanopy exit, when a tractor trailer veered off of the interstate, hitting an RV that had pulled off the highway due to a flat tire.

Largest Surge in Traffic Fatalities in 50 Years Attributed to Apps

The last 40 years have seen a decline in highway fatalities. Unfortunately, 2015 saw the largest annual percentage jump over any year in the last 50, and, thus far, 2016 has been even worse. In the first six months of 2016, highway deaths increased by over 10% from a comparable period in 2015.
